TRANSEC's top priority and goal is to provide education and training awareness programs for both public and private sectors. Information, its availability, and its dissemination, are vital in securing our Nation's infrastructures.

Public and private sector organizations cannot easily protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information in today's highly-available and publicly networked system environments without some form of compromise of ensuring that all people involved are using and/or managing information effectively. Part of the educational process is through providing a better understanding of their roles, responsibilities and requirements that are related to their organizational missions, goals and objectives. Being focused on an organization's goals is important; loosing focus can have a debilitating impact on the organization either partially, or depending on the circumstances, entirely.

This group forum is about security discussions, trends and overall discussions pertaining to 'critical infrastructure protection' and transportation systems.

This mailing list was estalished as a forum to allow information exchange between all interested parties regarding SCADA systems, to discuss standards in the SCADA industry, with the aim to achieving acceptance of standards that will improve broader understanding, operation, and interoperability of equipment and systems.

Topics of general interest to the SCADA community are welcome. The charter of the mailing list will be updated to reflect the input of general consensus to the list! 

This is intended to give members information about current trends in the marketplace. Try to make the postings informative to a technical audience.

The organisers of trade shows and conferences associated with SCADA are encouraged to provide information both before and after the show ( the presenters are also encouraged to provide copies of their papers to the list).
